James D. Pollard, MD
Dr. James D. Pollard is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Auburn University in 1989 and graduated with honors from the University of South Alabama college of Medicine in 1993. Following medical school, Dr. Pollard completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida. There he was awarded the honors of Most Outstanding Resident and Best Resident /Teacher.
Since graduating from residency in 1997, Dr. Pollard has been in private practice. Prior to joining Enterprise Women’s Center in April of 2002, he practiced obstetrics and Gynecology at Dale Medical Center in Ozark, Alabama.
Dr. Pollard maintains membership in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and The American Medical Association. Dr. Pollard believes that the key to optimal women’s health care is multifactorial. It involves a dedication to remaining current in women’s health issues through daily reading and continuing medical education courses. It involves providing the latest and most effective treatments for obstetrical and gynecological conditions. Most importantly, it involves listening to patients and making them an active participant in the decision making process to reach the best treatment option for each individual woman.
Dr. Pollard is skilled in abdominal, vaginal, and laparoscopic surgical techniques. His interests include teen issues, infertility, low risk as well as high-risk obstetrics, and menopause.
Dr. Pollard resides in Enterprise with his wife and four children. |
